Overview
Komodo National Park
The national park reserve of Komodo Island is a paradise for scuba divers with an incredible variety of tropical diving experiences available. From vibrant and shallow reefs filled with colourful fish and invertebrates to deep water sea mounts, walls and pinnacles with sharks and tuna, the area has it all. We will explore the park and encounter schools of fish, manta rays, reef and hammerhead sharks, and even whale sharks that feed near the fishing platforms. We will also snorkel in the mesmerising jellyfish lake.
Our diving adventure will take place on the ship, Amira, and we can expect to enjoy 3-4 dives per day, including reef dives, drift dives, shark dives and night dives. If conditions permit, we will also try to organise a black water dive during the trip. However, please note that this is an offshore dive, and participants should be comfortable in the water with at least 50 dives under their belt and an AOW licence.
