This event is a 2 week polar expedition cruise on board the hybrid-electric polar exploration ship, Le Commandant-Charcot. The journey takes guests through the Weddell Sea, an expanse of ice where they will experience surreal landscapes and come up close with diverse wildlife. The voyage offers opportunities to learn about the history and wildlife of the Antarctic through lectures, observe seabirds and albatrosses flying over the Drake Passage, and participate in activities such as Zodiac cruises, hiking, sea kayaking, and polar diving.

During the trip, guests will visit the South Shetland Islands, home to a large number of animal species such as penguins, seals, and terns, and engage in various activities such as Zodiac cruising, landing, hiking, and polar diving.

Guests will have a unique opportunity to visit the hidden super colony of Adelie penguins living on Heroina Island and participate in penguin population counting and analysing their evolution, along with deploying Argos beacons and taking measurements of ice thicknesses. A special dinner will be arranged on ice if possible, and if not, inside a cave. Guests will also sail to the Antarctic Circle, where few travellers have ever been, and if conditions permit, cross the circle and participate in a polar plunge.

Dates to be announced soon.
